Jingle Production.
• A non-refundable deposit of $500 will be logged when we begin the writing and pre-production process.
(Every jingle we produce is hand-made from the ground up; we don’t just pull old, dusty tracks from the shelf.)
• We’ll make as many changes as it takes to make you happy, provided your brief or musical direction doesn’t change from that of the initial creative brief. We love happy people! However, if we’re instructed to go in a different direction to the original briefing, extra studio fees may be incurred.
• 'Soundalike' jingles must not break international copyright laws. A jingle must not contain the same melody or lyrics as that of copyrighted material. While we can reference the 'style and sound' of published material when creating a soundalike package, we can not break the law. If you've bought the rights to use a particular song or require us to produce a very similar version of it, we'll need you to provide us with production approval in writing.
• Full payment is required before delivery of the final package. Once the payment has cleared, we’ll mail you the final CD or upload your files.
• Purchasing the jingle package grants you an unlimited licence for broadcast, online and on-hold use. There are no ongoing fees or royalties to paid by you.
• Jingles remain the property of Abe’s Audio and cannot be broadcast until payment is received in full.
• All rates are + GST.
Music Licensing.
• Our library contains 100% royalty-free music, both purchased and produced by us. However, contrary to popular belief, 'royalty free' DOES NOT mean 'copyright free.' It actually means 'syncronisation free' - meaning the user doesn't pay to syncronise the musical work with a voiceover or images, but royalties must still be paid to the composer and publisher of that work.
• All music broadcast on television or radio MUST be reported to the collection agency in that country. (APRA in Australia.) Royalties collected from the annual blanket licence fees paid by broadcasters are distrubuted to the composer of the work by the collection agency.
• Music for messages-on-hold does NOT come under the above arrangement, and specially licenced music can only be used for this purpose unless the end user of the message-on-hold declares the music used and pays a fee directly to APRA.
• We can not legally on-sell or distribute any of our music to third parties on a standalone basis. We can, however, supply music with any voiceover or production as part of our licence agreement with our production music suppliers.
• We log every piece of music used as the job is completed and report to APRA via our suppliers on a regular basis.
