International Womens Day Is Not Just March 8th

Every year on March 8, the world celebrates International Women's Day.

So this morning, I paused to reflect on the amazing women who are part of Abe’s Audio.

Yes, our leadership team happens to have more women than men on it.

Yes, some of our hardest working, most loyal, and others-focused staff are women.

Yes, some of our best and most requested voice-over talent are women.

And yes, our business is much stronger thanks to the diverse perspectives and ideas contributed by women.

But for me, it’s not just today. It’s how it is every day.

Every day, I value the women on our team for who they are and the expertise they bring.

Every day, their ideas are heard and respected because I know I don’t have all the answers!

Every day, I am in awe of the women who skilfully juggle voice over sessions and family, acknowledging that there is a societal expectation that they are the ones designated that mental load.

Every day, I remember that we are all unique with different skills and strengths, but that we’re all equals.

So to all the women who I work with, THANKYOU.

Know that you are valued, respected, and appreciated - not just for what you do, but who you are.

Every day.
