The 8 Week Wait

Why do curtains always seem to take around 6-8 weeks to make?

Have the world's curtain-makers agreed to work to this ‘industry standard’?

I’m certain a huge sector of the market would pay a premium to get their curtains/blinds/drapes manufactured and installed in a couple of weeks. In a society where we all hate to have wait long for anything, surely 8 weeks is too much?

Imagine if a manufacturer could hire more staff and get ahead of their backlog. The word-of-mouth promotion alone would be huge! Select your fabric on Monday, and have your new drapes installed by next Friday.

Surely all it takes to create change is for one business to set the new standard?
